About
The life, story, and passions of Lauren
Lauren Welter, formerly Lauren Kruse, is an American singer-songwriter with humble beginnings in Wisconsin and currently hailing from the Greater Seattle Area.
She released her first single, Light Up the City in 2017 and has been writing, collaborating, and creating since. She wants to encourage her listeners to check out her newest collaborations as a featured artist with mixtr and Twice!
Growing up, her house was filled with music from the '80s, Pop, and Christian contemporary hits. However, Lauren’s most impactful musical inspirations come from the songs of female singer-songwriters Sara Bareilles, Taylor Swift, Francesca Battistelli, and Colbie Caillat.
After high school, she pursued her passion for music by studying at Concordia University in Irvine, California, where she earned her degree in music and business.

As an independent artist, Lauren enjoys performing, writing, and leading worship alongside her husband, Shane Welter. Together, they have a live acoustic duo called Shore Lane, and perform a variety of covers and originals for diverse audiences. Along with performing, songwriting is another passion of Lauren. When she is not writing songs for herself or gigging with her husband, she writes songs alongside The Songwriter Initiative community whose goal is to fulfill the need for quality songs that fit within LCMS theology for worship.

Ultimately, Lauren's goal is to connect with people through music and give them the space to feel. She is very excited to have released her very first collaboration with her mom and sister called, Queens, on November 26, 2024. With pop elements and her unique brand of storytelling, her songs communicate life’s experiences, emotions, and relationships through her eyes.
